About Us - Gerald Rossi

Experience:

Jerry has practiced in public accounting since 1971. He initially worked with Ernst & Ernst, a "Big 8" firm, auditing some of their large industrial clients that included the Detroit Lions. In 1977, Jerry transitioned to a large Macomb County firm where he worked on a more diverse group of closely-held businesses. He has considerable experience with manufacturing firms, construction contractors, medical practices and real estate entities.

Jerry founded Rossi & Company in 1992, and in 2010 merged his practice with Innes & Lotito. He did this in order to free himself of the administrative hassles of running his own practice and instead be able to devote more time to working with his clients, the part of the business he enjoys.

Education:
Jerry graduated from University of Detroit in 1970 where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He then earned an MBA in 1971 with an emphasis in accounting, also from the University of Detroit.

Professional Certifications:
Jerry has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan since 1975 and a Certified Valuation Analyst since 1995.

Jerry enjoys photography and reading. He audited one of Detroit's professional sports franchises while working with Ernst & Ernst, but he accepts no responsibility for their 50+ year losing streak.
